Futurescape 2019 Review

The one-day event held at Sandown Park Racecourse packed a whole host of promise. But did the show deliver? Yes. Resoundingly so as well.

Futurescape leading the way for landscape design

A stand out point of this exhibition was the array of exhibitors and visitors at what is, quite a niche show. The products on show ranged from the Skarper Chipper right through to Stone Paving and play areas by Earth Wrights. The diversity of the products and seminars on offer most definitely brought in the crowds as thousands flocked to the must-attend show.

Over on the SPA Power Machinery stand there was lengthy discussions with a whole host of professionals from the landscape industry. After leading seminars in the morning, Mark Gregory of Landform Consultants visited to discover more about the Westermann Moss Brush for his grounds maintenance business. Whilst there were also talks with councils from the surrounding area about how the same machines could solve their weed and moss problems.

2020 Machinery for Landscapers

Versatility and efficiency are two major factors in buyers’ decisions these days; which is precisely why SPA specialise in innovative machinery that offer solutions. They are also two of the main draws for visitors to Futurescape. How so? Well on top of all the latest products and services on offer, Futurescape also hosted a wide range of informative seminars.

In the morning Rachel Kay, Holly Youde and Madeleine Evans celebrated the lionesses of landscaping in the Pro Landscaper Theatre, whilst over at the business seminar visitors were offered an alternative view on how to grow their business. Additionally, if these weren’t enough to galvanize the creative seeds in your mind, there was a dedicated ‘Inspire’ and ‘Environment’ room of seminars to indulge in.

Futurescape moves to the Excel in London

For a one-day show; the trip for all was most definitely worth it. Speaking on the success, Mark Swift, Exhibition Organiser at SPA Power Machinery commented:

“This was our first time at Futurescape, as an exhibitor or visitor and it’s been a roaring success. A high percentage of the shows we showcase our machinery at are held at the NEC in Birmingham, it’s great middle ground for most but not everyone. Which is why any exposure we can attain across the country is vital for introducing professionals to the likes of our Westermann Moss Brush and Easy Petrol Post Driver. As a company, we’ve been in the landscaping industry for 40 years now and it’s exhibitions like Futurescape that not only offer great inspiration through the seminars but also allow you to discover ‘what’s new’ in the industry.”

Big plans are in place for Futurescape 2020 as their move to the Excel in London was recently announced with the now, two-day show, taking place on the 17th and 18th of November.
