Commercial Landscape Renovation

Costco Wholesale Corporation are the 2^nd largest retailer in the world, after Walmart. To expand their range of services in the UK they have began rolling out petrol stations at select locations. As well as the construction of the sites, they required a full-scale landscaping installation. Speed and efficiency were the key condition of the job as the planting and establishment needed to fall in-line with the completion of the construction.

After discussions with the main contractor, we established a plan of action that would allow us to work cohesively around the construction of the petrol stations whilst also completing the job to schedule. Additionally, working with Johnson’s of Whixley, we were able to arrange on site delivery of the plants and shrubbery stock.

The job itself was a relatively straight forward process. All aspects of soft landscaping were carried out by our large in-house team across a number of sites. Prior to planting we used a rotavator to break up, churn and aerate the soil before providing a mulch finish. The benefits of doing such include conservation of soil moisture, improving fertility and health of the soil, reducing weed growth and enhancing the visual appeal of the area.

Due to the heat at one location, our team had to ensure the trees, shrubbery and plant material were adequately watered throughout the landscaping process. This, along with the after-care, was key to ensuring on-time establishment of the plants.
