Example: Japanese Knotweed

Why Japanese Knotweed must be handled correctly:

  • Pushes easily through tarmac & hard landscaping,
  • Takes over entire planting areas preventing any new growth due to its suffocating properties,
  • Thrives on disturbance – human and natural – and easily spreads exponentially once established.
  • Left untreated this weed will rage out of control, spreading rapidly and destroying any hard or soft landscaping in its path.
  • Plant develops an extensive underground root system and can cause severe disruption if not treated correctly.
  • Identifying and eradicating the plant before this happens using our effective & tested solutions will save money, time and disruption
  • Under the Wildlife and Countrywide Act 1981, Japanese Knotweed must be handled in the correct manner. ‘It is an offence to plant or otherwise encourage the growth of Japanese Knotweed’. This could include cutting the plant or roots and disturbing surrounding soil if not correctly managed.
How we would Eradicate Japanese Knotweed

We offer affordable solutions to eradicate Japanese Knotweed. This would usually be in the form of either a spraying programme or excavation, this includes the duty of care for the disposal of controlled waste.
